What are affirmations?
Affirmations are statements of positive intent and they help you focus on positive outcomes with respect to your deepest desires. For affirmations to be effective, they need to be present tense, positive, personal, specific and spoken with emotion. With repetition, they will help transform your life by tapping into the Spirit within, the part of you that expresses spontaneous joy and passion for life. They align your conscious wishes for yourself and the unconscious programs pertaining to the issue(s) you wish to change. Your unconscious may contain negative and defeating perspectives pertaining to the things you want to improve upon which in the past has produced less than favorable outcomes.
For example, when stated emphatically, ‘I am deeply fulfilled with who I am’, can counterbalance feelings of low self-esteem especially when followed up with positive action that reinforces the goal of self-empowerment.
Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion. ~Jim Rohn
An affirmation is a declaration that something is true. Affirmations help you develop a positive mindset. They help you stay on track when you say them with enthusiasm and strong intention. They program your unconscious mind to help instead of hinder you. Well crafted affirmations send your intentions into the world with the intent to shift your future.
Affirmations are part of a good wellness program
Statements of positive intention are powerful when backed by the faith, confidence and belief of your convictions. Many people have become well using affirmations along with lifestyle changes because they awaken and reconnect with what truly matters to them. Passion for life is a cornerstone of staying healthy and and becoming well.
Marian and I often use an affirmation that I wrote which conveys most of the spiritual and personal development axioms that are important to us. We want to share it with you here and hopefully you will find it useful:
The SuperNaturally Well Affirmation for Higher Connection and Self-empowerment
“This is my life. I am in charge of me with the help of my Senior Spiritual Partner.
Today, I can do what I say I can. I am free.
The person I am becoming is created by how I feel about the things I think about every day. Therefore, right now, I focus only on the people, events and things that make me feel good.
I am shifting my beliefs and values to be consistent with the real me.
My heart is open. My thinking is clear. I live in the present moment.
I act with faith and react with love. I am willing to forgive.
I will expect more of myself each day and remain gentle with myself when I fall short.
I boldly, yet silently proclaim my right to exist in the Universe and co-exist in peace with all people and with all of creation.
The Universe is already joyful, abundant, fulfilled and content. I am aligning myself with those qualities by ‘shedding’ negative thinking and unhealthy habits. As a result, I am inspired to do those things that are ‘naturally right’ for me.
I will never be the same person. I am transforming physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually every day little by little, bit by bit. I am reaching higher. I am giving it my best and I am not through yet!”

When you say this affirmation, preferably say it aloud and passionately. Allow the deeper meanings to pour into your consciousness and into every cell of your body! Say it every day if you can.
